I became a professional writer at the age of 12 when I won an newspaper Father’s Day essay-writing contest that included publication and a check for $25. I'm published in college literary journal, newspaper, magazine and technical manual genres. I'm a former president of the Coeur du Bois Chapter of the Romance Writers of America and the Popular Fiction Association of Idaho, which produces the Murder in the Grove mystery conference in Boise. My unpublished manuscript “The Amazon Prince” won its category of the RWA’s Fantasy, Futuristic and Paranormal On the Far Side contest in 2006, and then became my debut novel, Blade's Edge.
