I'm a retired software engineer who's also a writer-hopeful, with one or two books on the burners, several short stories and poetry at my blog. My main passion, though, is photography, especially astrophotography, with my trusty Pentax K3 and K10D DSLRs. I'd rather do outdoors photography than people, though...I'm just too shy to want to be involved in portraiture. I love exploring the outdoors, whether paddling, hiking, or doing photography. I'm also an amateur radio operator (ham) and enjoy astronomy. Oh, and I'm really enjoying being retired.
